Ontario tackles death and taxes with proposed estate changes.

The Ontario government is moving ahead with plans to reduce the amount of money families must pay in estate taxes after the death of a loved one.

Right now, estates valued at $1,000 or less are exempted from the estate administration tax, but the province charges $5 per every $1,000 of the first $50,000 of the value of an estate.
